The 55 school days of Term 1 comprised of recycled mufti and the joys of period 5 studies have finally passed, resulting in all of us being able to conclusively say we have fulfilled the title of being 'Year 13's' while becoming approximately a third of a year closer to student loans, a pure diet of two-minute noodles and the promise of unadulterated freedom. If I had to summarize term 1 of senior year, I would say it was a term where we took advantage of the school opportunities provided to us, such as athletics day, swimming-sports, orange day or red day (where we raised money for causes such as Canteen and domestic violence prevention), and elevated it to communal events where we expressed ourselves both individually and collectively. Whether it was every neon shade in the colour spectrum, fantastic costumes that included superheroes, parodied athletes and a stray pickle or even accidentally coordinating outfits (see the Hall of Shame below) we can be assured that this year every student has found their own unique social niche and way to get involved.
Term 1, the final chapter.
